Short Bio

Having toured venues nationwide—from intimate neighborhood breweries to the legendary stage of New Orleans’ JazzFest—Heather Ré ("ray") brings a captivating blend of Folk, Americana, Blues, and Soul to every performance. Anchored by her soaring, expressive vocals, her artistry extends deep into traditional fiddle traditions, seamlessly weaving Cajun, Celtic, and Old Time tunes into her sound.

Heather performs solo on guitar and fiddle, and adjusts her sound and vibe to fit the location and audience; whether an intimate listening room, or outdoor festival.

She loves interacting with the audience, young and old, and her "Turkey in the Straw" and "Holler and Swaller" have become fan favorites.

Her next EP "Soulful Songs From the Road" will release on September 30th, 2026.

Thompson began his set by bringing out singer Heather Re’ and his old friend Michael Doucet from the Cajun band BeauSoleil on “Dimming Of The Day.” Doucet had opened his own six-song set earlier, playing fiddle and dueting with Re’, a lovely-voiced singer and a hidden gem in need of discovering by a wider audience. Kicking up their heels on “Run Again” and ending with a spirited “Oh Marie,” it was the perfect appetizer to what was to come that evening.
